Wedding Destination

I have never given wedding destinations a thought until recently. I wasn't always an advocate for destination weddings. I found them to be a bit on the selfish side since not everyone on your guest list can afford to fly where ever you want to have your wedding. I am one that believes a wedding day should be shared among many of your family and friends. Now, I could care less. It's my day and I'm gonna enjoy it.

So, what changed my mind some of you may ask. Well, it's simple. As stated before, this is my second time around and I really don't care if not everyone in the world can make it to my wedding day. As long as the people I care most are there, I am content. How does my fiancĂ© feel about it? It doesn't matter to him as long as he gets to call me his wife by the end of the day.

Anyhow, I have my heart set on a Hawaii wedding. Why Hawaii? Well for starters, I have never been there and I hear it's gorgeous there. Also, orchids are one of my favorite flowers, next to calla lilies, and they grow naturally there. I know, basing your wedding destination on where a certain flower grows is insane, but it's not just about that. It's everything about it Hawaii has to offer. It's like a different country yet still part of the US. So, I don't have to worry about passports, etc.

Thanks to a friend, I have been researching possible wedding sites through other bride experiences via http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com. There is so much info there for destination weddings or weddings in general. What to do, what not to do, who to use, who to beware of, etc. I really am thankfully for this community for giving me tips on choosing my destination.
